Kokkola Kaleidoscope - Tomas Jakobsson

“Forgetting oneself is opening oneself”

After studying photography for a couple of months, I have noticed a growing interest in minimalism, finding symbiotic shapes and lines in my surroundings and showing them to others. I find it interesting that you can take a negligible part of something and make it  as, or more, significant than it’s source. I see it as giving birth to something new from something old: the division and growth of ideas.

“Perceive that which can not be seen with the eye.”
and photograph what can barely be seen by the eye.

“If you can not find the truth right where you are,
where else do you expect to find it?”
